Zola Electric Partners OVH Energy to Deepen Solar Penetration in Nigeria

ZOLA Electric, formerly Off Grid Electric, has partnered with OVH Energy, a Nigerian provider of trusted petroleum products and services to make access to renewable energy products easier across Nigeria.

The deal gives Zola Electric access to OVH Energy’s up to 350 fuel service stations in Nigeria to help it reach millions of homes and businesses with its solar power solutions.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zola Electric, Bill Lenihan, “Beyond making the lives of all Nigerian’s easier and more comfortable through better access to our efficient solar energy solutions, this partnership means ZOLA would also be driving more economic growth as we improve business productivity across the country.”

ZOLA Electric, is a renewable energy brand in Africa, delivering clean, affordable, reliable 24 power by providing distributed smart storage + solar technology that is affordable, accessible and reliable.

Formerly, Off Grid Electric, ZOLA Electric designs distributed renewable energy solutions using its solar, battery and power electronics technology and allows users to pay for the power systems over time using PAYGo microfinance and mobile money payments.

At the moment, ZOLA Electric powers more than 200,000 homes and businesses across Tanzania, Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria.
