Akothee in shock as parents emerge to claim her orphaned adopted son

Popular musician Esther Akoth, commonly known as Akothee took to the social media to express her shock after learning surprising details about her adopted son, Shadrack Mwita.

Akothe was shocked that the boy who she believed was an orphan actually had parents but had made up the story.

Akothe only learnt of the story after footing Mwita’s hospital bill.

“Shadrack’s family reappeared in the picture, and the pressure was too much for me to handle,” explained Akothee adding that the boy’s Parents were alive and well and only surfaced after she had procured his costly surgery with high-tech prosthesis.

Cornered with the truth, Mwita owned up to his lies, stating that he made up the story but could not continue enjoying a luxurious life with his family suffering in poverty.

The confession came with a request that Akothee should step in once more and support his family in the village by building a house for his grandmother in the village.

“I can’t continue living eating in a palace, while my family is suffering, as I promised my family, that I am going to Mombasa to look for life, and once I am successful, I will come and change their lives too. So I want mama [Akothee] to go and build for my grandmother a house next week,” the young boy told Akothee just three days after leaving the hospital.

The songstress confessed that the realization put her in an awkward situation.

She however maintained that she would still help the “needy boy” establish his own place.

The hit-maker also volunteered to pay a whole year’s rent despite the deceit.

She added that she was on the verge of establishing a business for his adopted son.
