Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) Managing Director Dr. Naim Bilal has called on all Kenyans to tune in to KBC Channel one and all 22 KBC Radio Stations for live 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations-AFCON matches that kick off Friday in Cairo, Egypt.
The National Broadcaster will air live all the 52 matches after securing rights of the continental tournament.
Dr Bilal said KBC will beam the matches on the free to air terrestrial, as the country waits to rally support behind national football team Harambee Stars who will be making a comeback for the first time since 2004.

EGYPT (7x winners) 2017: 2nd place The Pharaohs are late hosts. They have been on the ascent since their return to the AFCON in 2017.
Hosts Egypt will play Zimbabwe in the first match of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Pharaohs have won the competition seven times – but not since 2010 – and lost to Cameroon in the 2017 final.
The match will be held at the Cairo International Stadium, which has rarely been used over the last eight years because of security concerns.
This will be the fifth time Egypt have hosted the competition, having won it on three of the previous four occasions – in 1959, 1986 and 2006 – and coming third in 1974.
Zimbabwe are playing in the tournament for a fourth time but have never made it past the group phase and finished bottom of their section in 2017, failing to win a game.

UGANDA (1x Runner Up) 2017: Group Stage The Cranes are once again the Underdogs in their Group. They boast Farouk Miya, a proven forward and Dennis Onyango, Africa’s best goalkeeper.
DR CONGO 2x Winners 2017: Bronze The Leopards arrive in Egypt with renewed vigour and unfinished business after finishing 3rd in Gabon.
The National soccer team Harambee stars is already in Cairo and ready to take part in the games.
The side coached by Sebastien Migne has been camping in Paris, France since the beginning of this month, and they played two friendly matches against, Madagascar and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Stars will be aiming to register better results especially after failing to go past the group stage in their previous five appearances in the continental showpiece.
They will face Algeria this Sunday in their first group ‘C’ encounter the play Tanzania and Senegal in other matches.
The team last played in the African Nations Cup in 2004 in Tunisia but was eliminated in the group stage.
