Asbel Kiprop, the embattled Kenyan athlete serving a lengthy doping ban spent close to KSh 2 million on his mpango wa kando (side chick).

The second biggest recipient in Kiprop's top 20 most active M-PESA recipient is his wife Sammary Jerotich who has received KSh 1.6 million while the mother Julia Jepkosgei has received just KSh 978 000.

According to the M-PESA transaction from Kiprop's phone seen by TUKO.co.ke, the former Olympics champion, who is serving a four-year ban slapped on him by IAAF last week, sent KSh 1.7 million to Nancy Jerotich, making her the highest recipient of the mobile money transfer from the 1500m specialist.

Jerotich, the wife of Kiprop's pacemaker, Andrew Chipsiya, is the woman whom he was seen with in a car as filming themselves while kissing and making dance moves in what later emerge as a sex scandal involving the towering Kenyan athlete and the former MCA aspirant.

The money money sent on three different numbers-one receiving KSh 798,490 another KSh 791, 490 and the least transacting KSh 57, 150.

Kiprop posted his Mpesa transaction online in an attempt to try and prove his innocence that there was never an exchange of cash with an anti-doping agent as claimed by the IAAF in its report.

Interestingly, Kiprop had accused Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) doping control officer, Simon Mburi of extorting money from him when he went to take his urine for the test.
