Avril explains why she wasn’t in Naiboi’s 2 in 1 but was in Otile’s new song

Naiboi released a song last year 2 in 1 that was a mega hit. He featured celebrities and some of his friends. However, Avril was not part of it.

Well, she was featured in Otile Brown’s new song ‘Kenyan Girl’ in which he praises the beauty of Kenyan women.

Avril has revealed why she wasn’t in Naiboi’s music video. This is after a fan questioned her on why she didn’t do the video:

Avril went ahead and explained that unfortunately she was in hospital.

I couldn’t was unfortunately in hospital…didn’t feel like getting into it with him .. let people do what they gotta do ??‍♀️

In a past interview with Adelle and Shaffie on Breakfast with the Stars, Naiboi confessed that the song would have been bigger if Avril and Victoria Kimani agreed to be featured.

“I tried to get Avril and Victoria Kimani on my video for support, but the two ladies never got back to me.”

He also revealed how his dad once told him to ditch music because he was not gaining anything.

“One day my dad came home from Ghana and I had just released a song. He sat me down with my other siblings and told me to quit music. He told me it’s been 10 years, we have invested so much money for you to do music, but there is nothing we are gaining from you. So it’s high time you quit music coz you are wasting time and our resources.”
