Chuka OCS killed by mob as he pursues murder suspects

Five suspects behind the murder of Chuka OCS and Kamaindi Location area Chief have been remanded for 15 days to allow Police conclude probe.

Chuka OCS Joseph Kinyua was hacked to death by unknown people as he was investigating the murder of Chief Japheth Majau.

Police say one of the murder suspects raised an alarm when the police wanted to arrest him, prompting an attack by a mob.

The OCS succumbed to the injuries he sustained after he was hacked several times on the head

“The officers approached the butchery of the said suspect to arrest him but the suspect and his workers at butchery raised alarm and attacked the officers. This forced the said officers to shoot in the air severally to disperse the mob,” the report stated.
