Co-Op Bank leasing firm lands Sh 890 million Government fleet deal : The Standard

The Co-op Bank Fleet, a leasing firm formed as a joint venture between Co-operative Bank of Kenya and South Africa’s Super Group, has landed Sh 890 million fleet deal with the Government.

In a press release seen by Standard Digital, the firm has revealed that the deal is worth Sh2.2 billion in entirety.
The press release partly reads: “The deal entails financing and delivery of a fleet of 125 vehicles to the Ministry of Interior, the National Police Service and the Prisons Department.”
The CEO Gideon Muriuki has lauded the partnership between the two institutions, adding that it strengthens their knack in doing businesses.
“This partnership between Co-op Bank and Super Group is mutually beneficial as it taps the synergies created by the joint venture,” said Co-Op Bank Group Managing Director & CEO Dr. Gideon Muriuki.
Deal stipulates that Co-operative Bank is the bankroller as the Co-op Bank Fleet arranges the leasing in collaboration with motor vehicle dealers who provides various vehicles.
