Co-operative Bank Employees in South Sudan Embark on Strike
Co-operative bank employees in South Sudan on Wednesday embarked on a strike demanding a 150 per cent pay rise and medical insurance.
They are also demanding promotions, improved working conditions and early pension payment.
Following this, two of the bank’s four branches have been shut down, and more that 100 employees have remained defiant on not returning to work.
