Former Nairobi county Governor Evans Kidero has lost an appeal at the High Court challenging the corruption charges leveled against him in a multi-million shillings fraud case.
Justice John Onyiego in dismissing Kidero’s application ruled the court did not find sufficient or convincing reasons to stop the prosecution of Kidero who had argued that the charges against him were faulty and meant to embarrass him.
Justice John Onyiego ruled that the criminal proceedings at the Magistrate’s court against Evans Kidero should proceed as scheduled as the former Governor of Nairobi will not suffer any prejudice before the hearing of his application.
Kidero had moved to the High Court to stop his prosecution claiming the charge sheet presented in court was defective. He also wanted to be charged separately.
