COVID-19 positivity rate stands at 1.2% as 36 test positive



The COVID-19 positivity rate now stands at 1.2% after 36 people tested positive for from a sample size of 2,967 tested in the last 24 hours.

From the cases, 19 are foreigners,17 are Kenyans while 21 are males, 15 females and the youngest is a 5-year-old child while the oldest is 72 years old.

In terms of County distribution, Nairobi had 24, Kiambu 8, Lamu 2, Kisumu and Narok 1 case each.

AT the same time, 10 patients have recovered from the disease, all of them from the Home Based and Isolation Care.

This pushes the total recoveries to 318,130 of whom 265,102 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 53,028 are from various health facilities countrywide

A total of 6 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 226 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

No patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while 2 patients are on supplemental oxygen in the general ward.
