Thursday, February 28, 2019 - There was drama in Uganda after contestants and organizers of Miss Curvy pageant stormed Parliament to petition the house Speaker Rebecca Kadaga over the ban of the Miss Curvy contest.

The women wanted the speaker to correct the misconception that the contest was about sex.

On Monday, the Speaker had protested the use of women bodies to promote tourism after the Minister of Tourism in Uganda launched the Miss Curvy Contest, an event that brings together women with curvy bodies.

After the protests, the speaker gave the women a green-light to hold the event saying she had misinterpreted the whole idea.

“I misunderstood the pageant after the protest it faced from the public but now that I have understood what it’s about, it is okay. You can go ahead and organize the event” the speaker said.

Here is how the curvy beauties staged a protest in Parliament.
