DAILY POST: MARAGA finally admits that there is rampant corruption in the Judiciary that he heads - Many Judges and Magistrates are taking bribes Politics 03:04

Thursday February 28, 2019 - Chief Justice David Maraga has for once admitted that there is a lot of corruption in the Judiciary thereby denying Kenyans justice as enshrined in the constitution. Speaking at the Supreme Court of Kenya on Thursday morning during the official presentation of the State of Judiciary and Administration of Justice Report (SOJAR) 2017/2018, Maraga pointed out that the courts which ought to dispense justice have gone sour and beyond the rule of law and constitutional obligation.
“Corruption is endemic in our country.”
“It is there even in the Judiciary.”
“For us to succeed and reduce it, every Kenyan of goodwill has to say no to it," Maraga admitted. President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was present during the function, asked the Chief Justice to ensure justice and law should be the walking stick of judicial officers while presiding over cases. The Kenyan DAILY POST
