Four people were on Friday evening killed after a vehicle they were travelling in was involved in an accident on Friday evening.
Gilgil Sub County Police Commander John Onditi confirmed the four died at Soysambu Conservancy near Gilgil on the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway.
“Our preliminary findings indicate that four people who were travelling in a saloon car have died in the crash that also involved a trailer. The scene is still being processed,” said Onditi.
The police boss said the accident has caused a heavy traffic jam along the major highway.
“We are appealing to motorists to be patient as we process the scene. Overlapping is likely to worsen the current gridlock,” said Onditi.
