Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has announced he is running for country’s top seat in 2022. Taking on Twitter to make the announcement, Governor Kibwana said he had listened to the wishes of common mwananchi and had decided to have his name on the ballot in 2022.
”I have listened to the voice of Wanjiku asking me to run for presidency in the coming election. I am available, ready and willing to be Wanjiku’s President. Will go all the way to the Ballot Box with Wanjiku in 2022. We must ensure devolution works for our communities,” the Governor said.
If he proceeds with his intention to run, Kibwana will be joining Governor Alfred Mutua and Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka who have also shown indications they may run in 2022. Kivutha’s candidature is premised on his good track record as the governor.
