Governor Mutua Visits His Ex-Wife in Australia as Lilian Weds Juliani

“When you lose what you love, remember to stay strong. Look out the window and remember life goes on.”

In August last year, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and his spouse, Lilian Ng’ang’a announced their breakup after being together for 10 years.

While Lilian moved on swiftly, it has been an emotional roller coaster for Mutua, who has had to put up a brave face in the midst of mockery and humiliation.

What is more interesting is that it is a “Ghetto boy” who eloped with his lover.

This week, a lot has happened in the life of Mutua.

As Lilian was officiating his relationship with rapper Julius Owino aka Juliani in a private wedding in Runda, Nairobi, the county boss was in Australia meeting his first ex-wife, Josephine Thitu, and their three children.

Josephine, a pharmacist, and Mutua’s divorce went through in 2015 after an acrimonious legal battle. They had tied the knot in 2001.

The court apportioned her a huge share of their matrimonial property despite Mutua’s objection.

After the settlement, she flew to Australia with their three children, as the former government spokesperson remained in Kenya, managing Machakos Couty and making merry with Lilian, whom she met in 2011.

Posting on his Facebook page, Mutua could not hide joy after meeting his “old” family once again.

“Homeward bound after spending quality time with my amazing loved ones. As a friend of mine called Prof says, once in a while it is good ‘to eat the life with a big spoon’,” he captioned a photo in which he was holding a bag at Sydney’s Airport in Australia.

Miles away from Australia, Juliani, and Lilian were having untamed fun on their big day.
