Governor Obado case postponed after a co-suspect gave birth

Corruption trial against Migori Governor Okoth Obado and his four children among others has been postponed to February 2022.

The Sh73.4 million corruption case which implicated his four children and 13 others was Thursday evening adjourned to next year.

The move came after one suspect, Carolyne Anyango, gave birth.

The governor and co-accused were October 2021 charged afresh and they pleaded not guilty before trial Magistrate Lawrence Mogambi and were placed on their previous bond and cash bail terms to await trial.
