On Wednesday last week, Murathe who was speaking during the Maragoli Cultural Festival in Mbale, Vihiga County, said Ruto is not the automatic presidential candidate for the Jubilee Party in 2022. Murathe's remarks generated a political storm within Jubilee, with many leaders castigating him for making unsavory remarks against the DP. Sharing his thoughts via social media on Tuesday, Prof Manyora said Ruto should be very worried about Murathe's remarks because it is just a slight revelation of what awaits him in 2022. He said that they are most likely coming from more powerful individuals opposed to his bid and who are using Murathe as their mouthpiece. "Ruto should know that this is not Murathe speaking, he is speaking on behalf of powerful forces, round and about and its all about 2022," Manyora said. He observed that the DP will most likely succumb to what seems to be coming his way should he put up a fight, noting that he should instead play along and retaliate gradually. "Ruto, whatever is happening behind the scenes which is now coming out is most likely to finish you, let them have their way and be a trojan horse," he said.
