Thursday February 28, 2019 - Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), George Kinoti, has said his department will expose rogue police officers who are killing innocent youths in Eastlands area of Nairobi. Speaking in Kayole during the community dialogue on extra-judicial killings on Thursday, Kinoti said he has served within the police service for a long time and was able to identify those police officers behind kidnappings and gruesome murders in Dandora and Kayole Estates.

"I want to be charged here.”

“I stand before you and declare that anybody be it under my command or myself that will ever cover-up for someone who has killed an innocent person.”

“May God himself curse me.”

“No one will ever cover for a police officer who kills under my watch." Kinoti said. Kinoti said it is unfortunate that innocent people are being killed. He said even some police officers just end up killing the wrong people and that cannot be termed as extrajudicial killing but a crime.

“There is no word like extrajudicial killings but we have unlawful killings by police officers.”

“Some of us kill innocent people.” he said. Kinoti was accompanied by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, who also vowed to punish rogue police officers who kill innocent souls.
