Speaking in an interview with True Love, she said,

“I found out at the same time as everyone else. At that point, I was thinking he could have told me. Given me a heads up. We had been talking a day before and for a whole four hours I was talking about rooting for him to be a better man and sat there and never told me she [Corazon Kwamboka] was pregnant, The least he could have done was to tell me he had another child on the way.”

Maureen Waititu said she was depressed after she and Frankie parted ways and she even contemplated suicide twice.

“At some point, I lost it. I constantly entertained the idea of taking myself out. I wanted to die and even tried it twice.  I remember planning to wait along Waiyaki Way for the biggest truck, drive into the road and get crashed. But while doing that, I remembered seeing my baby’s face flash before my eye and I couldn’t do it. I love my kids so much. And I know they have great grandparents but I know for a fact no one will ever love them the way I do,” she said.
