Jalang'o to start 'TV station' after job loss

Jalango YouTube: Days after losing his job at Milele FM, comedian and radio presenter Jalang’o has announced that he is set to lunch his own online television station.

Jalang’o says that his inspiration is derived from his fast growing YouTube channel where he has been interviewing various celebrities. The YouTube channel has over 100,000 subscribers.

“With how the YouTube channel is growing so fast, we want to make it bigger. Bonga na Jalas interviews will continue but just as a segment on the channel,” he said.

He added that his television station will have different channels for news, sports, and comedy. “We’ll have other interesting segments to create opportunities for so many other youths who have talent and want to showcase them,” he said. “If you think that you have talent to host you can talk to me or send me a one minute video clip. We will shortlist our hosts. We can have interviews, sports, music. We can have all these things going on just like TV. It will be an opportunity to give so many other youths who have the talent a chance. Advertisers have already started coming on board,” he said.

On Thursday, the presenter had said that he had received over 6 job offers from different radio stations. “I have received calls from six radio stations who want to hire my services. However, I will take a step back and see how the progress develops,” Jalang’o told a local media house.
