The Kenya Commercial Bank Staff members Cyprian Nyakundi has spoken to have accused the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Directorate Of Criminal Investigations, Director of Public Prosecutions and the Judicial Service Commission of Ignoring their plight in KCB Joshua Oigara’s bribery scandals.
The KCB CEO has been accused of engaging in various illegal actions that have hurt the employees and exposed the various accountability institutions that always claim to be super-active in charging those linked to various corruption scandals.
In another matter, the Director of Public Investigations Noordin Haji received a letter from a lobby group called Concern Citizens Kenya demanding the arrest and prosecution of Kenya Commercial Bank CEO Mr Joshua Oigara over money laundering and fraud. Despite the letter being sent to ODPP on November 12th and the DPP’s office stamping it and confirming reception, nothing has been done.
Lobby Group Writes To DPP Noordin Haji Demanding The Arrest & Prosecution Of KCB CEO Joshua Oigara
In the letter, Oigara and his KCB counterparts are accused of unlawful issuance of loans totalling to Ksh. 1.2 billion to Weston Hotel in order to facilitate its operations despite the hotel sitting on an irregularly acquired piece of land without a title deed.

According to KCB employees that we spoke to, they are very concerned about the silence by the accountability institutions especially in the matter where CEO Joshua Oigara, HR Boss Russo, BIFU Sec Gen Kubai and a Judge Lady Justice Onyango colluded to kill a case after bribes from Oigara changed hands.
On 7th Sep 2018, KCB Kenya employees woke up to a rude shock that their much eagerly awaited balanced scorecard CAUSE NO 1619 of 2017 has collapsed without a single mention or hearing.
It is curious to note that this single case has in a record time of one year has been handled by 4 different judges; the case has moved from justice Wasilwa to Makau to Abuodha and finally to Maureen Onyango who issued final orders. Even after we highlighted these inconsistencies, accountability institutions never even made any move.
Mr. Kubai BIFU-Kenya Secretary General made KCB staff believe that Justice Wasilwa would handle the case to the full conclusion only to collude with KCB Management to push the case to a friendly judge justice Maureen Onyango in the absence of justice Wasilwa who had earlier declined their application.
KCB had appealed justices Wasilwa’s ruling at the court of appeal and a mention was slated for the 26th Sep 2018. It still unknown how they moved back to the Labour court without getting a direction from the court of appeal.
It is rumoured that a meeting took place in a city hotel between Mr. Kubai and KCB management where the deal was sealed through a hand cheque.
In the course of our exposes, we have revealed many details and even backed up everything with evidence but nothing has been done. KCB employees that we have spoken to have asked all the heads of these accountability institutions to state their stand in the fight against corruption and impunity.
