Kenyan songbird, SUZZANA OWINO, reveals her last conversation with fallen Legend, OLIVER MTUKUZI.

Celebrated Kenyan Benga singer,
Suzzana Owino, has joined the world in mourning the death of legendary
Zimbabwean afro-jazz maestro, Oliver Mtukuzi.

The ‘Todii’ hit-maker died on Wednesday in
Harare aged 67.

Suzzana, who is known as the queen of Benga,
revealed that she received the news of Mtukuzi’s death with shock because they
exchanged text messages just last week during the Dusit Terror attack.

From the screenshot of their conversation,
Mtukuzi checked on Suzzana to find if she was ok following the terror attack
that left 21 people dead.

“Tuku my dear brother, tell me it’s not true. Just the other day you
checked on me..trying to find out if I was safe
after #DusitHotel terror attack. I celebrate you. Africa has lost a
true gem, an Icon, a Legend. Shine on my brother. It is well Oliver
Mtukudzi #RIPTuku,”
