Nelson Havi, the new Law Society of Kenya President on Thursday found himself in unchattered waters over the conviction of Sirisia MP John Walukhe. This comes after Twitter detectives unearthed an old tweet from the lawyer, which contradicts what he said after the court passed a gulty verdict on Walukhe and convicted him of fraud.
Here are some of the comments from Kenyans:
Nelson Havi is a close confidant of Justice Makau who came from leave to issue conservatory orders in favour of Moses Wetangula in a division which is not his. This is after judges of that division refused to issue such orders because Weta withdrew his case from PPDT.#LskCartels

It’s just crazy Boni…! These guys had a share of the loot in the name of legal fees, it’s beyond logical payment, it is getting a slice of the pie! They are conflicted that’s why you see these reactions. There ought to be a ceiling in legal fees, else corruption will never end

John Waluke and Grace Wakhungu contracted with NCPB. NCBP breached the contract. Arbitrator ordered payment. Award was enforced by High Court. NCPB lost before High Court and Court of Appeal and paid the decree. How can that be a crime? Do not celebrate fraudulent convictions.

Two thieves who even accepted their mistakes and pleaded for leniency before the courts but LSK president thinks they should have instead been given Gold medallions. They saved Moi during the coup d'etat they claimed. Such a Charlatan.
