Politics 01:39 Wednesday January 23, 2019-An outspoken Senator from Mt Kenya region has said the region is not happy with the way the President Uhuru Kenyatta is mistreating his deputy William Ruto.
Ruto has been on the receiving end lately, his latest blow coming on Tuesday when President Uhuru Kenyatta picked Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi as the chief Cabinet Secretary. Uhuru named Matiangi as the person in charge of supervising government development projects. Until Tuesday, the DP had been crisscrossing the nation under the excuse of doing the same, but now seems to have been paralyzed by the move. Now speaking on Wednesday, Laikipia Senator, John Kinyua said Mt Kenya region is not happy with the development. Kinyua said the person, who is behind Ruto‘s problems is opposition leader, Raila Odinga. He said that Raila seems to be convincing Uhuru to turn against his deputy as has also been alleged by some forces surrounding the DP. "This can be traced back to the handshake and Rails seems to be doing everything to disrupt the unity and is apparently succeeding,” Kinyua said.  Kinyua advised Uhuru resist the evil plan by Raila and remember that it’s Ruto who stood by him when he needed the votes while Raila was on the opposite side.
