A few days after it was hinted that Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa could be reconciled with DP William Ruto, another plot has been hatched to bring the DP in talking terms with a second politician from Trans-Nzoia county ahead of the former’s bid for the presidency in 2022.
This time round, the target is deputy ANC party leader Kipruto arap Kirwa, who is believed, could be instrumental to DP Ruto’s success in 2022 within the Kalenjin Diaspora and beyond.
Both Kalenjin and Kikuyu elders in Kirwa’s former Cherangany constituency have been dispatched to seduce him towards Ruto’s camp before the two leaders meet for a round table discussion with Kirwa being dangled with the carrot to decide on which political party to subscribe to.
This, however, may not dawn well on the ANC party boss Musalia Mudavadi who is being fronted as the possible Nasa presidential candidate in 2022 against DP Ruto, considering that Kirwa together with Baringo senator Gideon Moi are being relied on to spearhead the Kalenjin support towards the ANC supremo.
Should this become a reality for Kirwa to dine with Ruto, this will be a political turning point for the ex-Cherangany legislator who once worked as the party chairman of the defunct NFK that was associated with CS Wamalwa before moving to Ford-Kenya in the same position. FK is headed by Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula.
