Kylie Jenner ties with Jay-Z to become Forbes’ fifth wealthiest American celebrity

She has amassed a fortune after launching her beauty empire.

Now Kylie Jenner is the fifth Wealthiest American Celebrity of 2018.

The 21-year-old’s net worth of $900 million sees her tied at fifth place with Jay-Z in a new list compiled by Forbes Magazine.

This year marks the first time Kylie has landed on the list, which ranks the wealthiest American celebrities based on fortune they have amassed off their fame.

The list did not take into account stars whose wealth made their famous.

Kylie Cosmetics was launched two years ago, and has already shifted over $630 million in makeup products, according to Forbes.

The line is so popular new products typically sell-out within minutes of their release.

Kylie owns 100% of the company, and advertises heavily on her various social media platforms.

‘Social media is an amazing platform,’ she previously told Forbes. ‘I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.’

In just two years since launching her business, Kylie looks on track to unseat Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg as the youngest-ever self made billionaire.

Over the summer she became the face of Forbes’ August cover which was headlined ‘America’s Women Billionaires.’

Kylie Cosmetics started off selling just lip kits, but it has since expanded to include concealer, eye shadow, and blush products.
