Lamu West Member of Parliament, Stanley Muiruri Muthama, was on Thursday night arrested at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) by Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) detectives in connection to fraud.
The DCI said Muthama would be charged Friday in an Eldoret Court with tax related offences. Meanwhile, Police Constable Collins Wanjala was on Thursday evening arrested by DCI detectives based in Central police station in Nairobi in connection with various reported robberies.
The DCI also confirmed that his accomplice, an ex-administration police officer, Paul Kea Origi, was also nabbed while driving. Handcuffs and tear gas canisters were recovered.
