Maangi, MP disappear with Sh2m Ruto donation – Weekly Citizen

Handlers of William Ruto in Gusiiland have landed him in trouble. It all started when Ruto visited Kitutu Masaba constituency last year launching Kemera- Kiendege-Keumbu road initiated by former area MP Timothy Bosire.

Ruto was accompanied by local leaders among them area MP Shadrack Mose, MCAs as he handed over a brand new bus to Ekerubo Secondary School.

It is said while at Ikonge primary and secondary schools, leaders cried for help and a generous Ruto gave Sh 2 million in cash. Present was Kisii deputy governor Joash Maangi.

It is said since it was not expected and with the two school board members unavailable, the area MP Mose receive the cash on behalf of the schools.

Those present say, one of the MP’s security took the cash and safely kept it in the car for expected handover.

It is said, MP Mose has never surrendered the cash to the schools for intended purpose and has kept the management waiting. Word has it that the MP shared the money with Maangi on grounds that it was unexpected and if given to the school management, they would misuse it.

At one time, aides of the MP led by a one Ebitinge, threatened Ikonge Secondary School principal with transfer.

And now to expose the MP, students, staff and parents of the two schools are planning to demonstrate and camp at the MP’s residence until they get the huge donation.

When reached, an aide to Mose claimed it is all politics and part of the scheme to have him decamp from Ruto side because the CS Fred Matiang’i camp has failed on ground
