Macquarie Medical Care, bring health in Reach through innovation and digital health offerings, has been named the best startup in Namibia by Seedstars World.
Macquarie Medical Care, besides representing Namibia at the Seedstars Africa Summit, will win an all-inclusive trip to the Seedstars Africa Summit and the chance to win a spot at the Seedstars Global Summit in Switzerland where the winner will take home a 500K USD investment prize In addition, the winner will receive 3 months access to the investment readiness program.
Seedstars organized the event with Seedstars World’s local partner GreenTec Capital Africa Foundation . Further support was provided by GIZ Startup Namibia and media partners. The event attracted interest from over 33 startups.
Genetix Metazoa, a 100% Namibian owned biotechnology company that provides indisputable identification of animals came second and Tuma Technologies a platform for your favorite stores (restaurants, supermarkets and flower shops, at your doorstep with just a few clicks, grabbed the last spot in the top 3.
The other startups invited to pitch were Autono-Me, Nam-Oceanic Kelp Production Enterprise, Derenas Investments CC, NamCloud Investments, Tasked Technology Solution CC, Nghishe Biotech and EstApp.
Seedstars World’s next stop is Capetown at Seedspace Capetown, to select the best startup in South Africa. Seedstars World is looking for smart startups that solve regional issues and/or develop profitable products for the global market.
