- Manchester United stars' rest was interrupted with two fire alarms at their hotel, a day before Wolves game
- The Red Devils lost to Wolves for the second time in three meetings with Nuno Espirito Santo's men
- Ole Gunnar Solskajaer's side hopes of securing a Champions League spot were dented with the defeat
Manchester United stars were woken up by two fire bells at their hotel before their costly midweek defeat to Wolves.
The Red Devils' lackluster performance saw them suffer a 2-1 defeat at the Molineux to have their hopes of finishing in Premier League top four dented.
United's preparation for the fixture against Nuno Espirito Santo's side was interrupted on two separate occasions when the hotel's alarm went off.
Daily Mail reported that Solskjaer's men stayed at the £85-a-night four-star Mount Hotel Country Manor, in Tettenhall, near Wolverhampton, prior to the game.
It is understood that the players checked in at 9pm on Monday, April 1, and prepared for the evening kick-off at Molineux with a customary midday nap on Tuesday.
Then the fire alarms went off at around 2.30pm and 3pm, with the staff reportedly apologising for the two incidents.
Meanwhile, TUKO.co.ke had earlier reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be seeking to pull another surprise in the Champions League weeks after stunning Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 to qualify for the quarter finals.
Manchester United will host Barcelona for the first leg of their Champions League quarter finals tie on Wednesday, April 10, at Old Trafford.
