Eric Bailly will miss the remaining two matches for Man United this season and the AFCON 2019 tournament after picking up a knee injury in 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
The Cote d'Ivoire international injured a ligament in a collision with Blues midfielder Matteo Kovacic during the second half.
The 25-year-old who was helped out off the pitch by United's medical staff started his first Premier League game since February.
The 2019 AFCON tournament will begin June 21 to July 19 in Egypt and the Elephants have been tagged as one of the favourites.
Cote d'Ivoire have been pooled in the group of death which comprises Morocco, South Africa and Namibia.
