Taking to his social media, the self-proclaimed general said he was fully aware that the Kijabe-Street-based media company was owned by President Uhuru Kenyatta whom he claimed that he had “pulled a fast one” after another guest was introduced in the same show he was to appear.
“I’ve cancelled my appearance after your last-minute attempt to dilute the important national issues Anne Kiguta and I had agreed to discuss.
“I know despot Uhuru Kenyatta owns K24 and has pulled a fast one. I’m not willing to compromise my principles,” he said.
Mixed reactions erupted soon after and political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi took on the general and said he was a “pink soldier” who got scared of appearing in the interview.
“He got scared of it because he claims I was part of it,” the analyst said.
The lawyer made a u-turn after it emerged lawyer Ndegwa Njiiru would also be in the same show as him.
He said this would dilute the serious matters he wanted to discuss with TV anchor Ann Kiguta.
