Eye brows have been raised over glaring fact that John Mark Moi has not been involved in his father’s burial preparations as Raymond Moi and Gideon Moi steal the show since the death of former Kenyan President Daniel Moi.
At state funeral and national memorial service at the Nyayo National Stadium, Mzee Moi’s favourite last-born Senator Gideon paid a glowing tribute to his father while Raymond read eulogy after their other brother Phillip Moi opened the service with an emotional prayer.
Other sources say John Mark is clinically unwell.
Phillip got emotional as he opened the service with a verse from Revelation 14:13.
Even during Moi’s final funeral service at his home in Kabarak John Mark has not be lined as one of the speakers in the ceremony expected to last less than four hours.
The first reading of the Bible will be done by grandchildren Kimoi Moi and Talissa Moi while the second reading will be by son Hosea Moi and Paula Jepkemboi.
Moi’s eulogy will again be read by , Phillip and twin sister Doris Moi while a poem will be read by his granddaughter Laila Cherobon.
Moi’s firstborn is Jenniffer Chemutai, second Jonathan Toroitich who died in 2019, John Mark, Raymond, followed by twins (Phillip and Doris) while Gideon is the last born.
