Friday January 25, 2019 - Elgeyo Marakwet Senator and Senate Majority Leader, Kipchumba Murkomen, has attacked ODM Party Leader, Raila Odinga, and Senator James Orengo over the expulsion of two ODM MPs for supporting Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid.

Speaking yesterday, Murkomen faulted the two leaders for expelling MPs Aisha Jumwa (Malindi) and Suleiman Dori (Msambweni) from the party while they carry themselves as reformers and liberators. “Who could believe that ODM of Raila Odinga and James Orengo of ”2nd liberation” can expel any party member let alone leaders for associating with the DP, the founding member of ODM and former Deputy Party Leader (DPL)?" he posed. Murkomen noted that it was ironical how ODM's top leadership had mended their relationship with Ruto yet they were punishing their members for following suit.  "No wonder one of them recently told me it was a handshake, not handshakes," Murkomen quipped.
