Muthe Kiengei Mentor Advises Him to Go For Church Wedding After Ex-Wife Remarried

Top comedian Benson Gathungu aka Muthee Kiengei has been told to move on and ignore critics who keep reminding him about his first marriage, which did not work.

One of Kiengei’s mentors, Evangelist Lucy Wangunjiri advised the radio presenter to focus on his new marriage.

The funnyman remarried after parting ways with his first wife, Keziah wa Kariuki, who is a media personality and gospel artiste.

During a memorial service of Kiengei’s father, Mzee Watoria at Prayer Beyond Boundaries (PBB) church in Nairobi on Sunday, Wangunjiri challenged the rib-tickler to consider solemnizing his new union in a church wedding.

“You have a girl that loves you and know you two need to tie the knot in a church wedding. I’m ready to help you say your vows.

“It’s true your first marriage failed, but that should not be an obstacle. You are not the first person whose marriage has failed. You should never be a prisoner of your past,” she said.

The advice coming days after Keziah wedded the love of her life, George in a lavish wedding.

In 2019, Keziah sensationally claimed that she abandoned her first marriage after Kiengei started cheating on her.

“I did everything to save my marriage, but it did not work. When he married a second wife, I had no option, but to let go,” she said during an interview on KD TV.

The comedian, who was recently ordained as a pastor, remarried almost immediately, but he did not do a church wedding.

Just weeks ago, Kiengei praised his second wife, Ashley Mugure as the pillar that has kept him going despite all the challenges.

They have been blessed with a son, making Kiengei a father of two, as he has a daughter with Keziah.
