Nairobi governor Mike Sonko filmed chewing miraa in viral video

Mike Sonko is no conformist. The Nairobi governor does what he pleases, damn his haters.

A video of Sonko chewing miraa (khat) has emerged.

Khat or qat is a flowering plant native to the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.

Khat contains the alkaloid cathinone, a stimulant, which is said to cause excitement, loss of appetite, and euphoria.

The video was taken from Sonko’s instalive video where he was interacting with his fans.

One fan asks Sonko for some money, without blinking an eye, he gives out his numner and asks the fan to text his number.

The mheshimiwa promises to send him something small, “right now I don’t have Lot so i will send you Ksh 2,000.”

And if you think he was lying, check out the details of the number he gave.
