Police arrest two terror suspects in Uasin Gishu, seize explosives

A foreigner is among two suspected terrorists who were arrested on Saturday by detectives in Uasin Gishu County.

Detectives seized the two after raiding a house in Chepkatet village in Kapseret Sub-County.

The raid was conducted by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU), and the Special Services Unit (SSU).

Informing the public on the twitter handle, DCI said that the arrested are Mohamed Ahmed Bisher, 59, and Nasanga Ibrahim, 69, the foreigner.

Among the items seized from the suspect’s house were explosives, detonators, detonating cords, safety fuses and boosters.

Assorted explosives, detonators, detonating cords, safety fuses and boosters were also recovered during the operation.
