Friday January 25, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto has received a rear backing, this time from a man who has been his fiercest critic.

In a tweet on Thursday, exiled lawyer, Dr. Miguna Miguna, threw weight behind the DP, stating that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga's decision to fight Ruto using proxies was an act of cowardice reminding the two to face the DP head-on.

"It is cowardly for both Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga to fight William Ruto through proxies," Miguna tweeted. "Instead of using their party dogs to fight William Ruto, they should face him head-on. Don't shadow-box. Charge him in court for corruption. Let Kenyans see the fireworks now; not later,” he added. There have been claims that Uhuru's decision to give Interior Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Fred Matiang'i, sweeping powers to oversee operations and implementation of projects in all ministries is meant to undermine Ruto ahead of 2022; a scheme that Miguna Miguna also believes is true.
