Pupils swim to school in Mumias – Weekly Citizen

An MCA in Kakamega county Jacob Rapando who represents an area in which pupils are forced to swim to attend classes together with area MP of Mumias East Ben Washiali have been taken to court by officials of a local NGO, Torch Africa.

The NGO also has sued Governor Wycliffe Oparanya. The NGO is concerned that the petitioners are violating international children rights by allowing them to swim naked in the river endangering their lives.
