There was drama at one of the rallies ODM leader Raila Odinga addressed in Nyandarua County today, November 6.
The former Premier was in the middle of his speech when a commotion started and almost escalated.
He was forced to suspend his address and ask the police to intervene.
“Askari! Askari! Askari!” he shouted.
He ordered the youths, who were on a mission to interrupt his rally in the Miharati area, to leave.
The young people were reportedly supporters of Deputy President William Ruto.
They first tried to blow vuvuzelas to make force the opposition leader to cut short his speech, but the strategy did not work.
The rowdy youths then attempted to disrupt the rally. However, they were chased away.
Raila continued with speech, urging Kenyans to practice political tolerance.
He said he was determined to build a cohesive nation if he becomes the next President.
