Kenyan rapper Kenneth Aketch Oluoch Barnabas, popularly known as Kenrazy in the entertainment scene, has disclosed that he was exploited during the 2017 Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) campaigns.

In a wide-ranging interview with a local media outlet, the famed musician confessed that he took the chance as he viewed it as a breakthrough that will aid his ailing music career. He then decided to accompany ODM in most of its rallies.

“DNA got a deal with PNU, so I decided to do ODM. You know, when you decide to split up at the studio, as in because he has gone to PNU, I go to ODM. We did an album and never got anything. After the final rally at Uhuru park, I was given 70k,” Kenrazy shared.

It was later revealed that musician, DNA was paid by Kibaki’s Party of National Unity (PNU) Ksh9 million while Kenrazy received pocket money of Ksh70,000.

Kenrazy confessed his love for ODM leader Raila Odinga, but says that he does not think they will work again together due to underpayment.

However, he says that he will consider the opportunity if he is called to perform, but this time, they will have to do a clean deal.

“I have done that(singing) every time he vies. This time I was thinking of doing business. I love you, Baba, but I don’t get money.”
