Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia are through to the quarter finals of the Cecafa Kagame Cup after downing Ports FC of Djibouti 2-0 in Rwanda this afternoon in their second group match of the competition.
Boniface Omondi scored in 70th minute to give Gor the lead before a late addition from Denis Owalo secured the three points for K’Ogalo.
Gor Mahia is leading Group D with six points after winning their first group match against Maniema Union of DRC. They’ll play their last group game against KMKM from Zanzibar on Sunday.
Last year K’Ogalo finished third in the championship held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and will be aiming to win the elusive title for the first time since 1985.
