Saturday November 24, 2018-Strict marking awaits candidates from Ambira Boys High Schools after publicly admitting to have engaged in malpractices in this year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

This was revealed by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) Chairman, Prof. George Magoha, on Friday.

Speaking yesterday, Magoha divulged that 10 examiners have been set aside and tasked with going through scripts from Ambira Boys High School and other exam centres which students confessed to cheating with the aim of identifying possible collusion.
He explained that the action is likely to lead to cancellation of examinations from students while ruling out an earlier decision to suspend examinations from the entire centres.
We had indicated that people were planning to cheat and you can see this now.”

“Teachers are working around the clock to have candidates have access to exam materials,” stated Prof. Magoha.

Ambira students were filmed insulting Interior CS, Fred Matiangi, and her Education counterpart, Amina Mohammed, with unprintable adjectives after finishing their KCSE exams to which they admitted to cheating.
