Monday March 4, 2019-Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, has unearthed various proxy accounts that Cabinet Secretaries allegedly used to benefit from multi-billion shillings Arror and Kimwerer dams in Elgeyo Marakwet.

Haji uncovered the truth after a recent trip to Italy whereby he got hold of details on how firms winning Government contracts were directly linked to the CSs, among Simon Chelugui (Water) and Henry Rotich (Treasury). “The investigations are at a very advanced stage. What we were surprised about is the level of rot. We award tenders to international companies only to discover they belong to locals.” disclosed a member of the team that toured Italy with the DPP. “It is disturbing that the CSs are linked to the companies under probe in multi-billion-shilling projects that have stalled," another member of the team commented. "This is denying Kenyans opportunities to get Government tenders, especially when the companies in question are international with local roots,” he added. Rotich, Chelugui and Devolution CS, Eugene Wamalwa, have been summoned by the DCI to shed light on the scandal.
