Singer Naiboi Unveils New Project Days After Telling Why His Career is Sinking

Celebrated music artiste Michael Kennedy Claver, better known as Naiboi, is set to release an Extended Play (EP) dubbed ‘Otero’ on October 29, 2021.

The ten-track EP will contain his hit songs and notable collaborations. The EP was produced by Bass Man, but Naiboi also helped in preparing it since he is also a talented producer with a couple of songs like 2-in-1 and Welle Welle by Timmy T Dat under his name.

This news comes days after Naiboi took to social media to express the challenges of being a musician in the Kenyan industry. In his post, he explained why he has not released new songs recently despite having done a collaboration with Kristoff in a song called ‘Maliar’ after a long break.

Naiboi claimed that he has over 800 songs, but cannot release even a single of them because his hands are tied up. He went on to disclose that he was seeking a lawyer to handle the issue.

“All I ever wanted is to release music for my fans. And najua mafans wana shangaa what’s up with Naiboi!! My hands have been tied for almost 2 years now.

“And I am tired being at mercy of hawa wasee. I might need serious lawyers. Nimefika mwisho. I miss NaiBoi as much as you do. Pray for me. I keep everything to myself a lot. But imefika mwisho. I love music so much it hurts me I have over 800 songs and I can’t release even a single one?” he asked.

The 2-in-1 hitmaker, which currently has over 6 million views on YouTube, further stated that veteran musician Nameless had warned him that succeeding in Kenyan music industry is not a walk in the park.
