Capwell Industries leading brands Soko and Pearl have bagged Superbrand status after a vigorous evaluation and selection process. The selection was also subjected to an independent research conducted by a panel of the East African Superbrands council and members of the public.

The two brands emerged as consumers’ favourites with greater emotional attachment.

While receiving the award Mr Chetan Shah, the marketing director of Capwell Industries Limited, said the new status for the two brands would enhance the company’s competitiveness in the market as it continues to manufacture high quality products that meet the consumer’s demands.

Superbrands East Africa project director Jawad Jaffer said the award is only given to the most outstanding brands in their field, adding that attaining the status strengthens the brand’s position, adds prestige and reassures consumers and suppliers that they are buying the best brand in the market.

The Thika-based industry has also diversified operations into rice and porridge milling as well as packaging of wheat flour and distribution of fruit juice.
