State House ropes DPP Haji in toxic propaganda war against Judiciary -

State House Chief of Staff and head of the Presidential Delivery Unit Nzioka Waita are working in cahoots with Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji to undermine the Judiciary through a steady stream of media propaganda.

The conspiracy between Waita and Haji has been stepped up and attacks on the Judiciary running on social media almost on a daily basis.

This campaign is informed by a desperate need by power brokers to turn public anger against the courts and find justification to micromanage the succession of Chief Justice and Supreme Court President David Maraga, determination of members of the Judicial Service Commission and occupiers of key positions within lower courts such as the appeals court.

CJ Maraga is expected to retire before the 2022 general election on 12 January 2021 upon the attainment of 70 years as stipulated in the Kenyan constitution.

Of late, unknown bloggers and media personalities have participated in well organised digital campaigns that strongly criticize the Judiciary and blame them for almost all problems facing the government at national level.

The anti-Judiciary campaign appears to be well financed and professionally coordinated especially on Twitter where they use pre-designed info-graphics and manipulated video clips to emphasize on short comings by judges and magistrates.

This month alone the campaign has targeted the Judiciary almost every week blaming them for failure to punish those accused of grand corruption. The Judiciary was also blamed for granting bond to criminals and terrorist who end up committing crimes against the public.

Today on Twitter the hashtag #JudiciaryMassageParlour was trending most of the morning a d it contained very degrading images of senior judicial officers in compromising positions with accused persons.

Interestingly social media accounts that are routinely used to promote government project delivery are the same ones being used to spew venom against judicial officers.

Kenyan News Day established that DPP Haji was secretly using his networks in the intelligence community where he came from to dig up dirt on perceived enemies of the state within the Judiciary and using this dossier to damage their reputations.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has been accused of undertaking shoddy investigations that stand no chance for convicting suspects.

Consequently, having realised their short coming, the DPP office are blackmailing the judiciary officers to convict suspects based on shallow and incompetent investigations.

On its part, the ODPP has made a habit of blaming others for when it is caught in serious shortcomings in the line of its work.

Ever since the Supreme Court made a historic ruling that nullified the 2017 presidential elections in Kenya, Judiciary has been under sustained attacks from elements who appear to be answerable to the executive and who have persistently attacked, threatened and negatively profiled judges on social media.
