Patrice Evra, the former Manchester United left-back, has reportedly called time on his playing career.
The Frenchman enjoyed a glittering eight-year spell with the Red Devils which saw him win five Premier League titles and one Champions League crown.
He departed Manchester in 2014 and had a short spell back in England with West Ham last season - but has now hung up his boots.
In an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport via The mirror, he said: “My playing career is officially over. I started training for the UEFA B Coaching License in 2013, now I want to finish it and then go on to get the UEFA A license.
“In a year and a half, if everything goes well, I’ll be ready to lead a team.”
He joined Manchester United in 2006 in a £5.5million deal from Monaco, and went on to make 273 appearances, scoring three goals.
During his time at Old Trafford, he won a Champions League, five Premier League trophies and three League Cups.
