Embattled Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula has withdrawn a case he had filed before the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal against Secretary-General Eseli Simiyu and Wafula Wamunyinyi.
This is after the Registrar of Political Parties recalled a Gazette notice effecting party changes that had recognized Wamunyinyi as the party leader.
During a sitting in Nairobi Friday, the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal said that the Wafula Wamunyinyi-led faction will face the disciplinary committee on Tuesday.
The tribunal reaffirmed Wetang’ula as the bonafide party leader. Ford Kenya moved to the tribunal on June 10 after the National Executive Council purported to dethrone him from his seat on May 31.
