Twitter Goes WILD as "Missing" Rugby Player Lyle is Found after Night Out in Loresho

What an eventful week we are having! It’s only Wednesday and there has been more drama on the Kenyan interwebs than a Spanish novella.

From Vera versus Otile Brown to Akothee against Robert Alai, Kenya is simply the gift that keeps giving.

One of the hottest stories at the moment, of course, is about Kenya Harlequins rugby player Lyle Asiligwa who was reported missing on Monday morning.

Panic gripped Kenyans online Tuesday morning when a missing person poster for Lyle was widely circulated on various social media platforms.

The poster was by one Wanjiku “Shiko” Kinyanjui, who is said to be Lyle’s girlfriend. Shiko reported that Lyle was last seen leaving his home in Kabete on Monday.

But by noon, he was located at a friend’s home after a night out in Loresho. The friend in question has been identified as Eva and is alleged to be Lyle’s ‘Mpango wa Kando’.

Lyle also took to Twitter to assure concerned Kenyans that he was okay.

Naturally, the interesting turn events stirred the ever-excitable Kenyans into making Lyle, and by extension Eva, into popular Twitter figures.
